Day 37 - Whitehorse, Yukon

June 16, 2011 - 41.46 miles - Total so far: 1951.7 miles

I’m in Whitehorse the Capitol of Yukon. Their catch phrase is “80 miles from nowhere”. The city is charming with a youthful alternative feel and also very bicycle friendly with large bike lanes all over. I’m camped at a commercial campsite thats for tents only with no RVs.

During my ride over the past two days I’ve met lots of touring cyclists, a couple from Spain & Poland, a fellow from Taiwan, a couple from Luxembourg, two separate guys from Quebec, a couple from Germany. Most started Anchorage, with several on their way to the end of South America. It’s always fun and inspiring to chat.

barbara greenberg => I like hearing that you are meeting people..It seems more civilized as opposed to isolated.."Isolated" scares.."Bike Route" looks friendly as well..Love you!!
